Nashville, TN (July 9, 2008) - For Country Music's biggest voice, Martina McBride, the sky's the limit this summer as she takes her "Waking Up
Laughing Tour" outdoors. The tour begins this Friday, July 11, at the DTE Energy Music Theatre near Detroit, Michigan and will bring the
country
superstar to over thirty markets by mid-October.
After a successful arena run in both the US and Canada, this extension will offer fans the opportunity to take in hit after hit under the stars.
"This is the first time I have headlined an amphitheater tour," says McBride, "and we are really excited to be working with Brian O'Connell and Live
Nation."
With five number one hits and twenty-two top tens to pull from, Martina's sizzling set is sure to give the audience everything they want and
more.
Released in April of 2007 McBride's record, Waking up Laughing, stole critic's hearts and introduced the smash hit "Anyway", which was
nominated for
three CMA Awards and CMT Music Awards Female Video of the Year. Throughout her career, her angelic voice and powerful delivery have helped McBride
sell over 16 million albums. Named CMA Female Vocalist of the Year four times, she is currently tied with Reba McEntire for most wins.

Martina released her first ever live CD / DVD, Martina McBride: Live In Concert.
Continuing on the tour with Martina will be 2008 ACM Top New Male Vocalist Jack Ingram who has wowed audiences with his intensely entertaining live
show. After a decade of critical acclaim, Jack Ingram's breakthrough album, This Is It, debuted at #4 on the Billboard Country Album
Chart. His #1 smash single "Wherever You Are" kicked off a clean sweep of hits that was followed by the Top Ten tongue-in-cheek rocker, "Love
